I've been asked to do 100 sketch cards for Topps' MASSIVE "Star Wars Galactic Files" card set, scheduled for September!

I'm not usually one for being "star-struck" or crap like that but...common...I get to draw STAR WARS!  If I can't get giddy over that for a few minutes, what's left to live for?  lol

Ten Ton Sketch Challenge - John Carpenter's The Thing!

Here's my interpretation of John Carpenter's "The Thing" for the Ten Ton Studios Sketch Challenge.

This Week's Ten Ton Studios Sketch Challenge...Amalgam!

This week's sketch challenge at Ten Ton Studios was to draw a character from DC and Marvel's Amalgam comics, where characters from both universes were thrown together to form their own strange creations.  Batman and Wolverine became "Dark Claw"...Superman and Captain America became the "Super Soldier"...Howard the Duck and Lobo became "Lobo the..." well, you get the idea.

I decided to pick a character that had been mentioned in the books, but never shown; giving me creative freedom with the sketch.  The character was referred to as "Doomnaut" at the end of a Super Soldier story.  Whether this was meant to be a splice of Doomsday and Juggernaut, or a splice of Dr Doom and Juggernaut, I have no idea...I went with the one I thought made the most sense.
